Argentina: Sylvestra Torrontés 2015 [English below]

Quando Bressia me vem à mente, lembro do belíssimo Profundo. Este é o seu Torrontés, com uvas do vale de Cafayate. Verdeal, bem claro e límpido.

Aromas de fruta branca madura são os que aparecem primeiro, dando lugar a algo mais herbáceo depois junto a traços minerais. Pouco floral, que geralmente vem associado à Torrontés.

A boca é de sensações doces com leve acidez. Pouca mineralidade soma-se ao conjunto. Um bom vinho, delicado e elegante, embora a meu ver haja outros mais marcantes com a uva.

My first Bressia was Profundo (sorry about the portuguese only text). It was a very nice wine.

This torrontés is from the same winery, but the grapes are from Cafayate, north Argentina and location for more mineral versions of Malbec and Torrontes. Sylvestra is the feminine form of Sylvester, variation of Silvester ('of the forest') and derived from the latin

Silva (wood, forest). 

The wine is light-green, very clear. Herbaceous hints come after a little breakout of ripen white fruit. There are very little flowers, which is common on the variety.

The mouth is a little fresh but the sweet notes are the main feature. A good and delicate wine.
